Listed on the National Register on June 13, 1962 as a contributor to the Presidio NHL. It was then listed on the National Register in 1966. It is also a contributor to the National Register eligible Golden Gate Bridge.
West Pacific Avenue Undercrossing (34 0015) is a continuous reinforced-concrete T-beam bridge with short cantilevered end spans on three reinforced-concrete column bents founded on spread footings. It is part of Park Presidio Boulevard which was built during the 1930s as part of the Golden Gate Bridge project; it carries US 1 through the Presidio to connect with Doyle Drive at the Presidio Viaduct (34 0019). Doyle Drive, which was designed in conjunction with the Golden Gate Bridge, maintains the same distinctive light standards, curbs, and handrails.
