Originally determined eligible by the Keeper of the National Register in the Caltrans 1985 Historic Metal Truss Bridges in California Thematic Resources study; its continued eligibility was confirmed in the 2004 Caltrans Historic Bridge Inventory update: Metal Truss Bridges.
Edward's Bridge is a one-lane steel, pin-connected three-hinged arch deck bridge with a 114 foot long span. It is one of four surviving three-hinged spandrel-braced arch bridges in California. It also features decorative lattice railings and a wooden deck. In design, Edward's Bridge duplicates the Gault Bridge (17C0001).
